Endodontic or Root Canal Treatments
Endodontic or Root Canal Treatment is required when a tooth is
very badly decayed or damaged. That’s because the blood or
nerve supply of a damaged tooth can very easily become infected.
Not surprisingly, an infection can be very painful and even result
in an abscess. Regular dental check ups and careful brushing and
flossing can help to prevent you needing an endodontic treatment
but if you require one, we’ll talk you through your options
and make sure you understand what your treatment involves.
We’ll begin by removing any sign of infection from the damaged
tooth, before cleaning it thoroughly and filling your tooth to prevent
further damage. We’ll match your filling to the colour of
your existing teeth too and aim to restore the damaged tooth to
its original shape, so the filled teeth will blend in beautifully
with your smile.
If you feel particularly anxious or nervous about visiting the
dentist, don’t worry, we also offer many of the latest sedation
techniques, for a relaxing, pain-free experience.
